Windscape - Homage to "The Legend of Zelda" coming to consoles and PC on 27th March

Open-World Adventure Game's Full Release for Nintendo Switch™, Xbox One and PC

29 January 2019 As a huge fan of "The Legend of Zelda", "Secret of Mana" and "Golden Axe Warrior", the German game developer Dennis Witte has always wanted to create his own game which contained elements of all of them. In 2016 his dream started taking shape with the help of Headup, when his "Herzensprojekt" Windscape was released into Early Access on Steam.

The result was a first person exploration adventure with elements of modern crafting and sandbox games, where you explore a beautifully handcrafted fantasy world, fight monsters, interact with NPCs, solve quests and puzzles.

Now, almost three years later, Dennis' hard work and passion as well as the extremely helpful feedback from the community (Thank you!) has led us here: Windscape is leaving Early Access on 27th March and will also be released on Nintendo Switch™ and Xbox One.

Headup Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

07 January 2019 Dear family, friends and partners!

Today marks an important milestone for everyone at Headup as we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary.

Many of you have been with us from the very beginning or joined us a little down the road but all of you have one thing in common: You all share the same passion for great games and the belief that there is more to gaming than just the mainstream!

We feel very blessed and fortunate to play a little to a somewhat bigger role in many of the greatest independent IPs over the last decade.

And it has been quite the ride: Maintaining our independence and privately funded nature while delivering quality gaming content from some of the most promising and talented developers in our industry. So we kindly want to take this opportunity and express our deepest gratitude to you and all our partners for the highly enjoyable and pragmatic collaborations over the past 10 years.

We are all very thrilled as we have outstanding new IPs coming in our anniversary year, and quite a few crazy things are lurking in the portfolio, waiting to be revealed. Headup has been rocking the market since 2009 and strives to do so in the future.

So thank you for your continuous support and we are looking forward celebrating with all of you - let’s make this a year to remember!

Merry Christmas! Retro-inspired multiplayer shooter "Super Treasure Arena" out now!

Get ready for frantic treasure hunting with your friends!

24 December 2018 As a special treat for Christmas Headup releases the retro-inspired arena shooter Super Treasure Arena for Nintendo Switch™. The gates are open!

Super Treasure Arena features competitive play sessions focussing on battling your buddies on the same screen, just like we did many a night with multiplayer gems such as Bomberman. Besides real human enemies and bots, there's a menagerie of monsters to shake things up and to drop even more coins for you - collect them all!

Since there's no pre-game inventory loadout in Super Treasure Arena, you pick up your weapons on-the-fly. Depending on what you find, you either shoot the hell out of your buddies or try to avoid direct confrontations, first focusing on treasures and smaller monsters. On top of that, each of the five characters has a unique special ability to turn the match around instantly. Either way, you need to grab coins and avoid being blasted by your "buddies". The action is non-stop and a ton of fun!
